We run the Holkham Lake Trout Fishery which is part of the Swanton Morley complex of gravel pit fisheries.

Holkham lake is about 20 acres in extent and is stocked with some 9000 rainbow trout each year.

The fishery is open for trout fishing from 1st April to 30th November each year. There is coarse fishing in the adjacent river Wensurn all year and during the winter in Holkham lake, subject to club rules.

Trout fishing is by artificial fly only.

There are currently 2 types of membership; a full membership covering one individual and a family membership which covers a first named member and spouse, child or grandchild. The catch limit is 100 fish per season in both instances. A full membership costs £200 per year and a family membership £250.00. There is no catch and release and no boat fishing at Holkham Lake. We are currently working on the introduction of a limited number of subsidised junior memberships and hope these will be available later in 2001.

Anyone who is interested in joining our club should contact the Treasurer, David Brooks, 82 Mill Road, Blofield Heath, NORWICH. NR13 4QS. Tel 01603 715431.
