SAYERS LAKES
This fishery consists of the two below-detailed still waters. Season Ticket and limited guest day ticket fishing only. As of May 2011, there are vacancies for Season Tickets (this is subject to change without further notice)
Season Tickets are at present £40 and guest day tickets are limited to three per member per season at a cost of £5 each.
Limited night fishing is allowed on both waters.
SPARHAM POOLS
Picturesque, mature gravel pit of approximately 12 acres, containing many wooded islands. This water is a nature reserve that is shared with the Norfolk Wildlife Trust. NACA has five swims along the Southern (River) bank and two on the East bank. It is well known for producing mixed catches of Roach to over a pound and Tench to 5 pounds. There are also Perch, and Pike to 30 lb have been caught in the past.
The EA have recently stocked this water with a pure strain of fingerling crucian carp.
Pike fishing starts 1st Oct onwards Season runs from 16th June to March 14 inclusive.
SQUARE MEADOW LAKE
Despite being only 10 years old this 7-acre gravel pit has a surprisingly mature look about it being surrounded by substantial hedgerows and coppices on two banks and the river along one side. Fish stocks are still fairly low; however there are Pike to over 20 pounds, Perch, Roach and Tench (to over 8lb) have been caught. Double-figure bream have also been caught and there are a few Carp to over 20lbs.
Pike fishing starts 1st Oct onwards
Seasons runs 1st April to 31st Dec inclusive.
FISHERY NEWS/CATCH REPORTS
Extensive work was carried out on both Lakes over the last few years work parties, many thanks to the members who gave up their time to help. Platforms were built in several swims to allow easier access.
