Bawburgh Lakes Fishery
Norfolk Anglers Conservation Association was founded in 1986 with the objective of protecting and conserving Norfolk’s fisheries. As part of this objective the Association has taken on the management and development of Bawburgh Lakes to create a premier fishery on behalf of its owners RMC Ltd (please note, this fishery has no connection with RMC Angling).
Since opening the site for angling in October 1997 this fabulous fishery has enjoyed growing popularity, so this year 2005/06 season the structure of permit sales has changed with the objective of finding a balance between the incomes of the fishery and continuing its sustainable conservation interests, without which the pike fishing in particular would be spoiled. Therefore the fishery will be run on a limited membership basis.
To express an interest for membership of the fishery, or to have your name put on the waiting list, please print and fill in the application form and post it to David Woodhouse at 152 Drayton Rd, Norwich, Norfolk NR3 2DX including a Stamped Addressed Envelope.
Please note membership is available to NACA members only.
Permits are priced as shown
Full Year Permits limited to 120 members - £250 & £175 concessions
Pike Fishing Permits limited to 25 members - £85 & £65 concessions
Small lakes Permit, including river unlimited members - £50 & £40 concessions
Concessions include OAPs, under 16xs, & Registered Disabled (Note, regrettably there are no special disabled facilities)
The fishery will be closed from Tuesday 15th March to Sunday 20 March inclusive when essential maintenance workwill be carried out. For safety reasons members will not be allowed on the fishery during this time.
Permits to fish commence Monday 21st March at 9-am.
In the interest of conserving and improving stocks Bawburgh lake will be closed to Pike fishing this winter and closed to all fishingspring 2005.
