Wild about Norfolk – Press Release

Have you ever wondered where the swifts go in winter, how bats see in the dark or how many legs woodlice have?  You can ask all these questions and many more at Wild about Norfolk 2011.

Wild about Norfolk is one the biggest wildlife and environment fairs in the county and this year we will be at Easton College.  This wildlife extravaganza, which is part funded by Norfolk Biodiversity Partnership, will be held on Saturday October 15th 2011 from 10am until 4pm.  Past exhibitors have included Norfolk Anglers Conservation Association, RSPB, Norfolk Wildlife Trust, RSPCA, Norwich Bat Group, Blofield and District Conservation Group, Wensum Valley Trust, Friends of Gressenhall Museum and Harding’s Pit Community Association.

 In addition to around 40 nature conservation organisations, a wildlife artist and storytelling there will be face painting, nature walks, talks and of course the chance to question local experts on all matters concerning the wonderful world of nature.  There will also be food and light refreshments available to purchase. Scott Perkin, Co-ordinator with the Norfolk Biodiversity Partnership, said: "We are delighted to be supporting Wild about Norfolk in 2011. Wild about Norfolk was the very first wildlife fair of its kind in the county, and it remains one of the most exciting and enjoyable wildlife events of the year."
