Is your still water fishery registered?

From August 1st 2009 all still water fisheries must be registered with CEFAS this has come about by the introduction of the Aquatic Animal Health Regulations 2009 the legislation which requires all stocked or cropped waters, excluding rivers and canals to be registered with the CEFAS Fish Health inspectorate (FHI) and was introduced on March 27th 2009.

After 1st August 2009 the Environment Agency will no longer issue fish removal and fish introduction consents (FR1 and FR2 section 30) to an unregistered fishery.

All NACA fisheries are to be registered and will comply with the new laws.
